Great movie. Still very watchable. I love the exchanges between Nick and Nora.

In one scene - to protect her - Nick shoves Nora in a taxi, slips money into the cabbie's hand and shouts "Grant's tomb!"...a scene later Nick is speaking with her over the phone, "...how was Grant's tomb?". Nora: Fine, I'm having a copy made for you!"

by Kate Douglas Wiggin (1856-1923)

Carol Bird was born on Christmas Day. She has spent all of her 11 years putting others above herself, always finding ways to make their lives a little more special. H. Rider Haggard

H. Rider Haggard wrote "She" and "King Solomon's Mines".
I've been experimenting with MS-Agent and MS-Reader. I've found a public domain Project Gutenberg etext of one of his books which I've been wanting to read. I've created a few HTML Applications using this text and these technologies. If you'd like to try them:

-right-click/save these links to your desktop or my documents folder
-rename from "file.exe_" to "file.exe"
-double-click and follow directions to extract to the folder specified
-double-click the resultant '.HTA' application in that folder

If you'd like something for your children - this might be nice. It's the images from the 'Classics Illustrated' comic form of the novel:

I think I concur with the author. Start at book 2. First six-seven chapters seem to have little action.

Backup/BackupEncrypt using AutoIt & 7Zip

Sometimes, there are 'miscellaneous' files I'd like backed up that normally don't go into source control. To do that I drag/drop files on the Backup.exe/BackupEncrypt.exe (compiled AutoIt scripts) -- they use & 7Zip to create .zip files in a '_zArchive' folder where those files are found.
There is a 'one-for-one' relationship of drag-dropped files and resultant '.zips'.

Scripts are dependent on this script(place at C:\!WF\_INC\filename.au3):
Place in a folder above the one used as target for other scripts("..\inc\UtilityFunc.au3")

If you'd like to see the .au3 files(place at C:\!WF\myWidgets\filename.au3):

Note:  All link~downloads are self-extracting files.  I've tested with WinZip 12.1 and 7Zip 4.65

Drop Scripts...

I use Crystal Reports, EditPlus, SciTE, and WinSQL ... a lot. I've created AutoIt drop scripts that facilitate a sorted, drag-drop from Windows Explorer. To use these executables just right-click/save as/extract - to recompile/edit for your purposes - you'll need AutoIt.

FB.exe 'generic' toolbar

I've created a 'generic' toolbar that works with many applications I use. Your welcome to try it. You'd want to right-click/save AU3 & EXE zips to a "ToolBox" folder and and 16x16 zip to an "_ICO" folder placed on same level as "ToolBox" folder. Extract all files & 'ToolBox\fb.exe' should be runnable. If you need to modify - you'll have to install AutoIt.

EXAMPLE (see icons on titlebar of WinSQL Trial application):

myShowDeskTop (AutoIt script)

For this you'll need AutoIt

;- ; myShowDeskTop - minimize non-toolwindows ;- ; Description ;- ; 'Show Desktop' & MinimizeAll ; minimize EVERYTHING including ; Google Desktop and floating ; toolbars...this excludes ; those not in 'my' list ;- $var = WinList() For $i = 1 to $var[0][0] If $var[$i][0] <> "" _ And IsVisible($var[$i][1]) _ And NOT IsMinimized($var[$i][1]) _ And $var[$i][0]<>'EnvSW' _ And $var[$i][0]<>'FB © 2008' _ And $var[$i][0]<>'Program Manager' _ Then WinSetState($var[$i][0],"",@SW_MINIMIZE ) EndIf Next Func IsVisible($handle) If BitAnd( WinGetState($handle), 2 ) Then Return 1 Else Return 0 EndIf EndFunc Func IsMinimized($handle) If BitAnd( WinGetState($handle), 16 ) Then Return 1 Else Return 0 EndIf EndFunc

Joh 15.9-17;Rev 3.1-13;Job 28;Hos 13-14
John: God's appointed us to bear fruit, again, this can't be in ourselves - because we can't bear fruit without abiding in Christ.
Revelation: God's promise for enduring/keeping His name - he'll keep us from the trial coming on the world. What does it mean to be a pillar in God's temple? Pillar is a support and place of prominence.
Job: The end of all man's searching & finding out: 28.29‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’” Hosea: 14. Return & be healed.
Best Verse(s):
Job 28.29‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom...
Hosea 14.4-7 I will heal their apostasy;I will love them freely,for my anger has turned from them. I will be like the dew to Israel;he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon; his shoots shall spread out; his beauty shall be like the olive,and his fragrance like Lebanon. They shall return and dwell beneath my shadow;they shall flourish like the grain;they shall blossom like the vine;their fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
God help me abide. Help me fear only you.

If you download a Project Gutenberg text & drag onto this script, it should break it into chapters for you and wrap in an .HTA file. Use the .HTA to read / speak back the text.

The prompts are for the "title" for the hta & the "breaktext",that is, the string that consistently starts a new chapter / section of the reading.

For this to work - you'll have to download / install MSAgent (see that post).

Here's the script:
